The Importance of Role Models.....

"Coach" Jeremiah and "Coach" Isaiah and their squad

It's always nice to see our upperclassmen helping out with the younger kids.  Jeremiah and Isaiah play on our High School Boys Team and are always lending a helping hand to our 7-9 year old recreation league.

As you can see by the ear-to-ear smiles on the kids' faces, they love these guys!

The little kids look up to these older players and we are constantly reminded of how far our kindness goes.  All of the players at Greater Levels and Devastation Inc. have giant hearts and are always looking out for each other.  We are so proud to have instilled this trait in our athletes and we know that one day when our little ones grow up, they will do the same!!!!

Player Spotlight - Jayson "J Smooth" Redhouse

Jayson plays for the Sonics and is 8 years old.  He is in the 3rd grade at Sundance Elementary in Buckeye, Arizona.

He is the Sonics starting Point Guard and he has a great basketball vision for his age!  He plays older than his age thanks to all of his training and hard work and he is an excellent ball handler.  Most of all, J Smooth loves the game and he displays this when he's on the court by being a non-stop force!

He is an excellent teammate and kids and we are so proud of him!!!!

Encouragement Goes A Long Way!!!!!

Every now and again we find a player off to the side or on the court with their head hanging low.  These are the moments where the coaches and the players need to step up and encourage their players/teammates and give them some positive feedback.

We all have moments where we feel like we're coming up short, or  frustrated or feeling the pressure.  Being on a team is like having a second family, we are there to love and support one another and provide a sense of positive camaraderie.

With greatness comes pain and hard work.  It's an arduous path to success but one step at a time and with the help of those around us who support us and are committed to our work, we will be successful athletes who will turn around and spread the positivity!
